As you may have noticed, a lovely gore-dripping monster has touched down in Nautilus' Southern District. Some know him as Pyramid Head or that Red Pyramid Thing. I call him P Hiddy, but I am ridiculous.

P Hiddy here is, for all intents and purposes, a mini-boss. That means that a) it's a horrible idea to approach him alone, and b) he's a very tough opponent to take down. Unlike the Aeon about to rip Nautilus a new one, he's also an optional encounter. If you've no interest in having your character(s) run into him, no need to read further. If you do have interest, read on.

There's something wonky going on that's causing the filter at work to think that LJ is harboring malware, so it's.. Going to slow down my posting ability. I noticed I've been holding up some threads so, please be patient. T_T

HOW'S MY DRIVING?


STEP ONE: You simply post ONE (1) comment with all your characters listed. We really don't care if you use your personal journal or your character journal. Just post your characters. Make sure they're all there!
STEP TWO: THEN, you scroll around and comment on other people's characters. What do you like? What don't you like? What do you think could use improving, and what are some possible means that the mun could improve upon? Nice critique. We don't need wank storms, people! That's not what this is here for.
STEP THREE: There ARE a few things that differentiate HMD at The Wake from other RPs.

One is, if you notice, the first comment is for the MODERATORS. We wanna know how we're doing – should we be more, less active? Are we too overbearing? Does Kasarin take too many notes, does Eve overpower you with ass-kicking, is Ren's Care Bear Stare too powerful, is Straya wrecking too much stuff, does MK blind you with her glory? Let us know.

TWO is that HMD is mandatory. You must make a post for your characters, or else this will count against your activity check. You have at least a week in order to tag this post. The ONLY excuse to miss this is if you're on hiatus. And we DO ask very nicely that you comment on at least two characters. You don't have to know canon - just let people know what you think. And if someone doesn't have any comments, try to comment on them! Everyone is special. ♥
STEP FOUR: "WHAT ABOUT THE OCs?!" you might be asking yourself! Simple. Everyone has opinions about canon and stories. We can still say whether or not we like them or think they could be made more interesting. Post them.

My modem finally crapped out and died after a long life of...uh, well, five and a half months isn't very long. :|a Anyway, my service providers said they'd send me a new one. I'm hoping it arrives today, but it's a weekend, so it may not even be delivered until Tuesday. X_X I can check mail at school (that's where I'm posting this from!), but since I'll usually be doing schoolwork at school, it'll probably be a while before I do more than a few courtesy responses.

Most likely you won't even notice anyway. Ah ha ha!

Anyway, that's where things stand. Here's hoping I get my internet back soon!

Hi all!

I sincerely apologize for the delay in saying "hello" to everyone.  I'm Tam(my), Once-ler-mun.  I have many other characters floating around LJ, but Oncie is the only one I've brought here.     

Love the community so far!  I look forward to getting to know everyone. :)     

So, I have a question about Bending and alterng the reality of the city.

I know that we've been falling pretty fast towards choas, and that bending is more powerful now than it has ever been, really, and that all of our nightmares and bad things we think too much about are manifesting.

So my question is, how close are we to the point where the good things we think about start spontaneously appearing? I mean, I know we hav alot of pessimistic characters at the wake, but we also have a bunch who believe in, and have experienced, profound good. So what happens when people look up to the sky and sigh for angels? When people ache for those times in canon when the wise mentor, the stalwart Defender, the superman and wonderwoman, Optimus Prime and insert hero of choice swoops in at the rescue? I would think that every character, just as they have nightmares that plague thm, also has had, at least once in their life, someone who has saved/strengthened/heartened/healed them.

And when the going gets roughest, who doesn't yearn for rescue?
